主教练 埃德加·德·拉罗莎 has made his mark at the high school and NCAA coaching levels for over 30 years. A member of three basketball Hall of Fames, including St. Francis College, De La Rosa has coached future NBA and Division I stars. As an assistant coach at 保利预科 for 8 years, De La Rosa was a member of the 聚 team that won a pair of Ivy Prep League titles and the team’s first NYSAIS crown in 16 years in 2020, qualifying for the New York State Federation Tournament of Champions. The team were undefeated and took the 2022 Ivy Prep Championship as well as earned the 2022 NYSAIS title. Since then, their stellar record on the court has continued. In 2023, with an undefeated season, they took the Ivy Prep League Championship. In 2024, they were NYSAIS B champions for the fourth consecutive year. 保利预科 男孩的篮球 has a terrific track record of student-athletes continuing their careers in NCAA Division I, II, and III basketball programs. At the professional level, 聚 alums have had great success, including 2x NBA All Star Joakim Noah ‘03 and Charlie Marquardt ‘13 who played in the NBA G League. 聚 alums have been named 2x NBA All Star and have played professionally in the NBA G League. He led the 聚 team to his first NYSAIS Championship title as head coach in 2022.

埃德加·德·拉罗莎 was named 主教练 of the 大学运动代表队 男孩的篮球 team in 2020. 以前, he worked as an assistant coach for eight years with the team with both Bill McNally and Ben Kettering. In 2023, he was named Coach of the Year NYS Private & 私立学校.

De La Rosa served as an assistant basketball coach on the high school and university level for more than 30 years including Bishop Ford H.S., 纽约大学, 福特汉姆, 石溪, and Manhattan College, and as Director of Basketball Operations at Rutgers University. Among his responsibilities were recruiting student-athletes, 球员发展, on the floor coaching, 侦察对手, and conducting workouts. He was 主教练 of the New York City team in the Empire State Games 1995-99.

He served as assistant coach of the Dominican Republic National Team in 1994, 2003, 2007, and 2008 and selected the 12-member team for the Central American Games, 泛美运动会, and the Caribbean Games. De La Rosa played on the Dominican National Team between 1980-87.

De La Rosa earned a BS in Management at St. Francis College, where he also played basketball and was named to the St. Francis College Hall of Fame.
